Tinder is the world’s number one dating app. Launching the campaign “The Real Finds The One : Find Your True Self, Perfect Chemistry.”

– Rebranded as a dating app that empowers you to ” be yourself to find the right person.”

Tinder reinforces its position as the world’s number one dating app by revolutionizing user perceptions that previously required faking identities to find a partner. The rebranding campaign, “The Real Finds The One : Be Authentic for Better Chemistry,” encourages everyone to be themselves to meet the right person, shifting the app’s focus to more serious relationships.

Tinder has released research findings on attitudes and perspectives towards using dating apps among users in Thailand (*). The research found that Thai Gen Z users feel ” tired ” of dating on the app because swiping is becoming less fun and it’s getting harder and harder to find the right person.

When delving deeper into why finding the right person on dating apps is becoming harder, Tinder found that it stems from dating app users’ tendency to ” fake ” themselves, trying to create an ideal persona in the eyes of most people. This ultimately leads to singles often not finding successful relationships.

Furthermore, Tinder also found important insights into Thai singles: while most Thai singles are open to starting casual relationships, beginning with ” talking, ” in the long run, Thai users seek more meaningful relationships—relationships based on shared interests and lifestyles, where they can spend time together.

Based on these consumer behavior insights, Tinde, as the world’s number one dating app, has launched a rebranding campaign to ensure the app continues to meet user needs and helps singles find their ideal partner, under the campaign name ” The Real Finds The One.”

With this new campaign, Tinder aims to promote a cultural shift in dating apps. Previously, singles often created fake identities to appeal to the majority and maximize their chances of matching with others. This included altering photos to enhance their appearance, distorting information about their age, occupation, or height, and concealing their likes, hobbies, or opinions.

Tinder will change this way of thinking by offering a new perspective: matching with many people isn’t as valuable as finding the right person who appreciates you for who you are. So wouldn’t it be better if you chose to reveal your true self from the start, without having to fake anything anymore?

Tinder communicates these points through its new television commercial and digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising, highlighting to singles that even if your hobbies seem absurd to others, you have a strange laugh, or you’re shorter than average, it’s okay because 99% of people might not like you. The 1% who do like you are, therefore, the more authentic you are in a relationship, the more genuine the chemistry will be.

This rebranding of Tinder marks a significant shift in its marketing positioning, repositioning the app as a platform for finding partners and relationships that lead to more meaningful, long-term connections. The goal is to attract key target groups: new users aged 18-24 trying dating apps for the first time, and returning users aged 18-39 who have stopped using Tinder, with a new expectation of finding the right person and genuine chemistry for their relationships.
